Director Bio

Bill Forsyth is a Scottish writer and filmmaker who, in his partnership with Charles Gormley, was key in instigating indigenous feature-film production in Scotland in the 1970s. His films include Gregory's Girl (1981), for which he won a BAFTA for Best Screenplay, Local Hero (1983), for which he won a BAFTA for Best Direction, and Comfort and Joy (1984).

Join director and writer Bill Forsyth in conversation with The Lyceum’s artistic director, David Greig, as they work on the world premiere of a stage adaption of this beloved story, opening at The Lyceum in Spring 2019.
