Now in its sixth year, our Student Critics Competition aims to support the next generation of film journalists, offering experience, skills and networking opportunities to students with a passion for cinema.
Open to all UK and Poland based students aged 18-26, successful applicants will attend screenings, receptions and events at EIFF 2018. They will be mentored by professional film journalists, creating articles throughout their time at EIFF (20 - 26 June). All travel and accommodation is paid for. As mentioned above, we also have funding to support two students from Polish institutions, who we can bring over to the Festival.
This year, our EIFF Student Critics will be mentored by Amber Wilkinson (Co-founder of Eye for Film) and Simran Hans (The Observer, Buzz Feed, Little White Lies), and guest tutor Rhianna Dhillon (BBC Radio 1 and 1 Xtra, BAFTA Guru Podcast, Radio 4 Seriously Podcast).

- Date of birth ( you must be aged 18-26 on 20/06/18)
- Current place of residence
- Matriculation Number
- Institution of study and the name of your course.
