Applications for volunteer positions are now temporarily closed. Please check back here again soon.

If you have applied for a volunteer position, we will be in touch to let you know the outcome of your application and invite you to interview if applicable. Please note there are no closing dates for Volunteer roles. Team descriptions will no longer be available for applications once the positions have been filled. Volunteers carry out specific roles across the Festival, working for up to four weeks. There are roles suited to all levels of experience, providing opportunities to gain new skills and experience, or to use existing skills to support EIFF and help contribute to the Festival’s success. Working hours differ from team to team – some have clear daytime shifts, others are more programme/events based – providing a range of opportunities to suit different circumstances and interests.

All volunteers have a line manager who is responsible for any relevant training, supervision and support during the role. On-site training is also given to venue and technical teams.

EIFF could not take place without our loyal volunteer force.

The rewards of a Volunteer Post with EIFF include:

- The chance to see EIFF films and attend EIFF events.

- Access to EIFF's Delegate Centre with cafe/bar and a wide range of Industry Events.

-Access to the Videotheque

- A working environment with lots of colleagues who are passionate about film.

- Including your time with EIFF on your CV.

- Staff and volunteers are listed by name in the Official EIFF Catalogue in recognition of their dedication and service.

- Invitation to the Staff Wrap Party.

We’re looking for volunteers who share our passion for film, ensuring EIFF 2017 is a great success. You’ll care about providing a great customer service to our audiences, guests and delegates; have experience, ambitions or qualities suited to the role you’re applying for, and be able to commit to the dates of the role and the ‘All Staff Meet’ training day on Saturday 17th June. Please note that all volunteer roles start before the first public day of the Festival.

You can specify up to 6 volunteer positions per application, starting with your preferred position. If more than one application is submitted, please number them clearly in the availability section so we can ascertain your preferences.

The second stage in the selection process is an interview. If you are shortlisted for interview we will be in touch to arrange a suitable date and time.
